"When I joined AFC in April 2010 I weighed approximately 142 pounds. I had been running for about ten years prior to this time but my body had gotten used to running, and therefore I kept on gaining weight. My body needed a change and joining AFC was the best decision I could have made. I began taking a lot of the group fitness classes, but most importantly hiring a personal trainer is what really launched my weight loss. In June I began working with Julie Hankin, she taught me new and different types of exercises that I would have never thought of on my own. By the end of July I had lost about 15 pounds. Unfortunately at this point Julie was not working at AFC anymore, but the tools that she instilled in me helped me to continue on my weight loss journey on my own. In November I worked with Gavin Mchale for a few sessions and that helped me re-motivate myself to continue with my weight loss. Up to date I have lost 30 pounds. I could not be more happy with the way I look but most importantly with the way I feel about myself. Without AFC and the trainers I could not have lost all this weight and changed my life."
