Group Fitness Studios – Free Classes


If you like to exercise, chances are you are probably already aware that group fitness classes have been on the rise in recent years in the Philadelphia Fitness scene. With so many new class studios popping up, from cycling and spin to barre, yoga and Zumba, boutique class studios have become incredibly popular. Unfortunately, many of these small class studios are also crowded, expensive, and can cost upwards of $40 per session (ouch).

The good news for you: For those of you who want a fitness challenge without the crowds and high costs, there are class studios inside all AFC Fitness locations. With over 90 classes per week, AFC  has something for everyone! Plus, classes are included as part of an AFC Fitness membership.

CrossFit

CrossFit is a core strength & conditioning program that delivers fitness that is by design, broad, general, and inclusive. CrossFit is constantly varied, intense and functional. CrossFit can be scaled to all fitness levels from beginners to professional athletes. Additional fee applies.

Barre Workout

Based on dance techniques, our Barre Workout class is designed to lengthen and sculpt your body. Using a ballet barre and light weights, you get a full workout set to an upbeat tempo. Designed for all levels, this class is perfect for you, no matter what your level of fitness experience is!

Body Sculpt

Body Sculpt is the basis for all studio classes. Here you will do a little of everything to work all of your body. A little cardio and a little toning makes up a great foundation for an exercise regiment.

Insanity

Insanity can help build strength and tone your muscles all over your body. Various workouts within the Insanity program emphasize upper-body and lower-body-toning. Some workouts integrate exercise for your core and abdominals. Benefits of resistance training or strength training include reducing the risk of injuries, maintaining your bone mineral density and improving your strength. Work out in 3 to 5 minute blocks, and take breaks only long enough to prepare you to move again.

Zumba

Check out the dance craze that is sweeping the nation! Zumba® is an exhilarating, calorie-burning, body-energizing, awe-inspiring workout designed to engage and captivate you! Inspired by Latin dance and music, Zumba® uses a variety of styles in its routines, including cumbia, merengue, salsa, reggaeton, hip-hop, pop, mambo, rumba, flamenco, and calypso. Music selections include both fast and slow rhythms to help tone and sculpt the body with easy to follow dance moves! Zumba® focuses on improving muscle strength, posture, mobility, and cardio conditioning and targets areas such as the glutes, legs, arms, abdominals, and the heart. This class is designed for all fitness levels, no dance experience required.

Aqua Circuit

Kick off your morning with our Aqua Circuit class! Our aquatics classes challenge your body to new fitness levels while remaining easy on the joints. Here, we combine cardio and band work in the water for a full workout.
