PERSONAL TRAINING
Personal Training is not just for athletes. It is not just about having bigger arms or a thinner waist. Personal training is a way for you to get the individual attention, motivation and guidance that you need to perform, look and feel your best.

When it comes to Personal Training, it should be just that, "personal." Our Certified Personal Trainers will take time to evaluate your needs and goals. We will help you identify and avoid obstacles that may distract you from those goals. And, we will help you to maximize your results by focusing your time and effort to be as efficient and productive as possible.

Your personal training analysis and plan will include:

Fitness Test
An assessment of your present fitness level including body measurement, body fat testing, resting heart rate, body fat, flexibility, muscular strength and endurance, cardiovascular endurance, and restructuring of your current fitness system.

Nutritional Consultation
Our nutritionist can help you develop a personal fitness plan for healthy eating and weight management. You will:
  • Learn to eat right
  • Make wise food choices
  • Lose weight and keep it off
  • Reach your goal weight safely
  • Learn how to work with your busy schedule and still eat healthy. Also, learn the importance of balance in your diet and how to get it.

Regular Re-Evaluations
Maintenance plans and regular re-evaluations can be scheduled with your personal trainer every 6-8 weeks as needed.

ALEX GONZALEZALEX GONZALEZ
Alex was born in Havana, Cuba, and moved to the Pennsylvania when he was 8 years old. He began playing sports at an early age to overcome the language barrier and make new friends. He competed in such sports as wrestling, tae kwon do, boxing, baseball, and basketball all throughout high school and college.
While attending the Temple University following high school, Alex was very involved in the kinesiology community, volunteering at Abington Hospital physical therapy, and competing with the Temple tae kwon do team. He graduated from the Temple University with a bachelors degree in Psychology with a minor in kinesiology. While in college, he continued to remain physically active and run 5k mud runs.
Alex would later go on to earn his ACE certificate in personal training, having had first hand experience with individuals goals, and needs from his various experiences in the physical therapy field.
Alex joined the AFC Jenkintown personal training team in September of 2010, and is extremely motivated by helping others achieve their fitness goals.

Certifications / Qualifications:

Temple University: Bachelors Degree - Psychology/Kinesiology
American Council of Exercise (ACE): Certified Personal Trainer
American Heart Association: Adult and Infant CPR and AED
