You Want To Exercise – Now Where to Begin? Part 1
Starting a new exercise routine is something we all deal with from time to time. It can be frustrating and confusing.
In this article, there are strategies you can use to get started with a new workout routine and launch your own training.
How to Begin Exercising
First, decide what you want to get good at. When you have a specific goal it is easier to train for success.
Make a decision. It doesn’t have to be the perfect decision. Just choose something that you want to become good at doing and get started. There will be ample time for adjustments and improvements later.
Talk to someone with experience
Don’t be afraid to talk to others and ask questions. Everyone is a beginner at some point. Take advantage of the knowledge people around you can provide.
Talk to former coaches and teammates. They have been through a similar process and may be able to provide helpful tips. Ask each of them for suggestions and programs to help you achieve your goal. If they don’t have the answers, they may be able to point you in the right direction.
Ask at least five people instead of just one. You will get a more well–rounded view. Everyone will probably point you towards different programs and routines. That’s ok. Choose what works for you and go with it.
While all of this different information might seem conflicting and confusing at first, it’s just part of the process and important for the next step. Remember, you will tweak as you go, but you have to start somewhere!
