Independently Owned Philadelphia Fitness Entrepreneur Opens State of The Art Fitness Facility in Brandywine Realty Trust-Owned Radnor Financial Center
Radnor, Pennsylvania—Matt Littman, Owner of AFC Fitness, announces the opening of AFC Fitness Radnor, on August 1, 2022, in the Radnor Financial Center at 555 East Lancaster Avenue. The project is owned by Brandywine Realty Trust. Occupying two floors, the 42,000 square feet space formerly housed the now bankrupt Philadelphia Sports Club. The completely renovated gym includes multiple large workout areas, cardio theaters, two turf spaces, three expanded group exercise studio rooms, brand new locker rooms, and a four-lane indoor heated lap pool. AFC Fitness is a local, independent owner and operator of gyms with locations in Bala Cynwyd, Feasterville and Radnor, owned by Bryn Mawr resident Matt Littman.

Since 1993 AFC Fitness has provided a full suite of options to help people maintain healthy lifestyles. Members can partake in aqua-fitness, cardio, cross training, barre, spinning, Pilates, racquetball, turf workouts, weight training, yoga and more, and can train in person, individually, supervised with a trainer, in small group training sessions or in classes. A variety of mind-body classes will help reinforce wellness.
“The bones of the space were incredible. I wanted to open the large perimeter windows to allow the sunlight in, and create a great energy,” said Littman. “I love the location, just off the Blue Route, and love that I can now serve members on two sides of the Main Line.”
Littman engaged Fabiano Designs, a renowned interior designer specializing in fitness centers, to reimagine the space and oversee a top to bottom complete renovation. AFC Radnor has a serene and modern aesthetic with space divisions based on wellness and fitness function.
The design is intuitive and created to appeal to all kinds of exercisers…those who prefer the interaction with other members will be satisfied just as well as those who wish to be less social and more private. The layout is thoughtfully created to allow trainers to float and supervise all members. Partnering physical therapists from Ivy Rehab, are adjacent to the gym floor, for quick check ups and supervised exercise plans.
There will be all new state of the art equipment for cardio, strength and circuit training, two turf spaces, a new spin studio, two group exercise studios for mind/body classes, a dedicated weight room, yoga, Pilates, cardio, a four-lane indoor heated lap pool, hyperbaric chamber and recovery center, luxury locker rooms and physical therapy. An all-day café will have a full menu of made to order food and beverage, located just inside the entrance, so non-members can utilize.
