A HIIT class, or High-Intensity Interval Training class, is a workout that involves alternating short bursts of intense, high-effort exercise with periods of lower-intensity recovery or rest. These classes, which can last anywhere from 30 minutes or more and use bodyweight or equipment, are designed to be time-efficient, burning calories quickly, and building muscle strength. A typical session includes a warm-up, main intervals of hard work and rest, and a cool-down.
